As adorable, friendly and fluffy our little fur buddies can be, one can't simply deny how sometimes they carry a certain foul smell that lingers and sticks around on surfaces that they make contact with. You wouldn't want your dog to ruin your favorite couch so it's better to avoid that worst case scenario and keep reading!

A smelly dog can mean plenty of things, there are skin complications or infections your fur buddy can experience that causes them to emit foul odor  but most of the time, a simple lapse in practicing good hygiene is the root cause of it.

Brush your dog regularly

You canbrush your pet 3 to 5 times a week, it is the best way to distribute natural oils and get rid of dead fur and limit shedding. Apart from that, it can also give you and your little furry one a relaxed bonding moment.

Bathe your dog regularly

Bathing your dog on a regular basis does not mean that you have to do it everyday like humans do, veterinarians recommend bathing your fur buddies at least every three months or every two months when you are in a significantly hotter climate country. When bathing your dog, make sure to really get in there and scrub and lather underneath their thick fur to get all the gunk and the build up oils out.

You can use a scrubber shower attachment to incorporate running water for a more effective scrubbing. Afterwards, make sure that your pet dries efficiently, before you pick up that hair dryer, wrap your best bud first with a thickabsorbent towel. Drying your dog improperly can help bacteria foster and can therefore lead to foul odors so make sure to opt for absorbent towels that are gentle to your pet's skin and fur all while effectively drying them.
